Keith will show how the new P33 series provides not only the traditional scalping and sifting functions, but also provides an in-line re-sifting function. Traditional screen cleaner sifting configurations result in over-sized product cleanout due to the burden depth of product on the sifting screens. The assessment of dockage as performed by the industry standard Carter dockage tester recognizes this very situation by configuring two identical perforated screens, which in turn recover a percentage of the throughs of the first sifting screen as overs of the second identical perforated screen. This laboratory procedure reduces the over-cleaning resulting from the sifting function. The Northland Superior Rotary Screen Cleaner P33 Series negates this effect of over-cleanout as a result of product burden depth, in a real-time commercial operating environment. The ability to provide this additional re-sifting functionality is accomplished on the P33 Series machine without reducing the nominal design capacity of the machine. We have accomplished this by designing a unique screen assembly configuration and special discharge manifold capability.
